What happens when you can't travel?

If you decide to cancel your adventure, the following fees apply and are due to Rove as soon as we receive written notice of your cancellation.

91 or more days - $0
61 to 90 days - Amount of Deposit paid
31 to 60 days - 50% of trip cost
0 to 30 days - 100% of trip cost

Should I purchase trip cancellation insurance?

We always recommend that you purchase travel cancellation insurance. None of us can ultimately know what the future holds, and in certain circumstances you may need to cancel your trip or return home early. In most cases, Rove will not be able to offer any refund should the trip be already underway. Travel insurance helps protect against last-minute cancellation, trip interruption and to cover medical treatment or emergency medical evacuation during your trip. We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance in advance of your adventure.

What if Rove cancel my trip?

Rove reserves the right to cancel all or a portion of a trip. In the event of such a cancellation, full or partial refunds, if any, will be at Rove’s sole discretion. Rove is not responsible for additional costs incurred by you during your preparation for the trip (including non-refundable air tickets, visa fees, equipment or medical expenses, etc.).

What if my trip doesn't have enough participants?

All Rove adventures require a minimum number of participants. Once we sign up enough travellers to allow the journey to run, the trip is confirmed and all travellers will be notified so that they can purchase their flights. The average amount of travellers needed to confirm most of our adventures lies in the region of 2-4 guests.

In the majority of cases, if a trip does not meet the requirements for enough participants, you may either transfer to another departure date or trip, be refunded your deposit or you may also be able to pay a supplemental fee to run the trip with fewer participants.
