We will meet in the lobby of the the Sala Prabang hotel at 5:00 pm. Join us for a walking tour of Luang Prabang’s old quarters, the quaint and historical heart of the city. Luang Prabang has long been considered the spiritual capital of Laos for its many important Buddhist monasteries and temples. The entire town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and as you stroll along its narrow streets, you’ll get a firsthand view of the town’s well-preserved architecture reflecting distinct eras of Lao history, including the French colonial era of the early 20th century.
After dinner, you might decide to turn in early to rest well before our early start tomorrow. Or, if you’re feeling energetic, opt to explore the town’s colorful night market.
